Issued by: Ralph Jacobs SA (Pty) Ltd (reg. 2019/101093/07) and Ralph Jacobs NZ Limited (company no. 9334729)
1. Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to browse, buy, and get help from us, including people with disabilities. That includes people who use a screen reader, magnification, voice control or a keyboard instead of a mouse, and people with low vision, colour blindness, hearing loss, or cognitive or motor impairments.
If something on our websites makes it hard for you to use them, we will help you another way, and we will work to fix it.
2. Which websites this covers
- ralphjacobs.co.za, ralphjacobs.co.nz and ralphjacobs.co (our online stores);
- ralphjacobs.org (this legal hub);
- ralphjacobs.help (our help centre);
- privacy.ralphjacobs.org (information requests);
- kyc.ralphjacobs.org (identity verification);
- payments.ralphjacobs.org (payment information); and
- jewelfix.co (repairs and claims).
3. The standard we are working towards
We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). It is the internationally recognised standard for accessible websites.
4. Where we are now — honestly
Our websites have not yet been tested against that standard. We are starting a programme of testing and fixes now, and we review it regularly. Until that work is done, parts of our sites may be hard to use with assistive technology. In particular:
- product images may not yet have full text descriptions;
- 360° views, zoom tools and videos may not yet have text descriptions or captions;
- some forms, including checkout, may not yet work fully with a keyboard or screen reader;
- some colours and small text may be hard to read; and
- some PDF documents may not be fully accessible.
Some parts of our sites are provided by other companies, such as payment pages, chat tools and delivery tracking. We choose providers with accessibility in mind, but we do not control their pages.
We do not use “accessibility overlay” toolbars. We are fixing our websites themselves.
5. Other ways to buy and get help
You do not have to use the website. We can help you with the whole process, from choosing a piece to paying, delivery, returns and repairs, by:
| Telephone | +27 87 551 7635 |
| WhatsApp (voice notes welcome) | +27 81 335 3005 |
| To buy or get help: sales@ralphjacobs.co.za (South Africa) · sales@ralphjacobs.co.nz (New Zealand and Australia) · sales@ralphjacobs.co (international) · To report a problem: feedback@ralphjacobs.org | |
| In person | Shop 6B, Lake Umuzi Waterfront, 1 Kiewiet Street, Secunda, South Africa |
Documents in another format. We can provide our terms, policies, the Jewellery Care Guide and your order documents in large print, as plain text or as an accessible PDF, on request, at no charge.
More time. If you need more time for anything we ask of you, such as approving a design or returning a form, tell us and we will agree it with you.
6. Tell us about a problem
If you find something on our websites you cannot use, please tell us. The most helpful things to include are:
- the page address;
- what you were trying to do; and
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use.
Email feedback@ralphjacobs.org, or use any of the ways in section 5, with “Accessibility” in the subject. We will reply within 5 working days, and help you complete what you were trying to do in the meantime.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can use our complaints process.
7. Reviewing this statement
We review this statement at least every six months, and whenever we make a significant change to our websites. We will update section 4 as testing is done and issues are fixed.
This statement was prepared on 29 September 2026.
