Who looks after your information
- ***[couple]* decide whom to invite and what to ask you.** They added your name and contact details, and they see your answers.
- Ralph Jacobs SA (Pty) Ltd runs SayIDo and keeps your information secure, sends the couple’s messages, and keeps your choices about messages. You can always come to us directly: privacy@ralphjacobs.org, +27 87 551 7635, or privacy.ralphjacobs.org. Our Information Officer is Rikus Kotzé.
What is held about you

Dietary needs and allergies are optional. Some, such as Halal or Kosher, can show your religion, and allergies are health information, so we ask for your agreement before you give them, and use them only to plan the meal.
Children. A parent or guardian answers for a child. We hold only the child’s name and age group.
Messages
- You receive e-mails, and WhatsApp messages if the couple has told us you agreed to WhatsApp, about this wedding only.
- Reply STOP to any WhatsApp message and you will get only essential messages about the wedding, by e-mail.
- We never use the couple’s guest list to market Ralph Jacobs to you. You hear from Ralph Jacobs only if you tick the separate box offering it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
What we never do
We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers or use it to train AI. The wedding website is not shown in search engines, and AI crawlers are blocked from it.
Who else handles it
We use these providers to run SayIDo, each under a written agreement that protects your information:

Where your information leaves South Africa, we send it only as section 72 of POPIA allows. The detail is in our PAIA Manual section 8.4.
How long it is kept

Your rights
You may ask to see the information held about you, to correct it, to delete it, or object to its use. Ask the couple, or ask us at privacy@ralphjacobs.org or privacy.ralphjacobs.org. It is free. If you are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
